Tennessee Titans Jared Cook Done for Season with Shoulder Injury

The Tennessee Titans continue to have some of the worst luck in the league as today the Titans announced that TE Jared Cook, who is in the last season of his contract, is done for the season with a torn rotator cuff.

This news comes on the heels of him being announced as the Titans 2012 Man of the Year.

Cook’s final stats for the season are as follows: 44 receptions, 523 yards, and 4 touchdowns.

It was a bit of a disappointing season for one that was supposed to be Cook’s breakout year. The Titans and Cook had contract extension talks this fall, but they fell off and never started back up. It remains to be seen whether the Titans will be bringing him back.

I, for one, certainly hope they do. Cook has shown the tools to be a big-time playmaker for the Titans, but thanks to all sorts of offensive struggles this season, he hasn’t been able to truly showcase them.

This IR list is getting pretty long. With four wins, the Titans are looking like they’ll have a high pick when the 2013 NFL draft comes around…
