The Tennessee Titans released the new today that QB Jake Locker has a fracture in his left non-throwing shoulder. While they haven’t said how long he’s expected to be sidelined by it, the general feeling is to or through Week 12.
That means the Tennessee Titans will be looking at Hasselbeck as starter until then. That means that the Titans will be without him against the Chicago Bears next week and the Miami Dolphins after them. They then have a bye in Week 11. Depending on where Locker’s rehab is he could sit Week 12, which is against the Jacksonville Jaguars, or he could finally come back.
The Tennessee Titans have beaten a few teams with Hasselbeck at QB by a few points. They’ve also taken a drubbing by two teams with Hasselbeck at QB. If the Titans hope to win anymore games with Hasselbeck at QB, the Titans defense has to create the turnovers and manage the score like it did against the Colts, minus the mistakes and penalties.
Either way, the season of handing over the keys of the kingdom to Jake Locker is anything but.
