Tennessee Titans’ QB Jake Locker to Miss Time with Shoulder Injury

The Tennessee Titans look like they’ll be without QB Jake Locker for at least a couple of weeks after he reinjured his left shoulder against the Houston Texans yesterday. This is some pretty tough news to stomach for a team already starring at three losses.

Hasselbeck will assume the starting mantle while Locker is out. While Hasselbeck makes a decent backup, it’s not the same as having Locker in there and the difference was quite visible when he took over for Jake this last week.

One of the few bright things to come out of that game was the fact that the Titans were able to get over 100 yards rushing from RB Chris Johnson. While their schedule looks to get easier as the Titans go forward, they’re going to need that run game to keep producing like that if they want to win. Hasselbeck has passed his prime and it’s obvious that the Titans made the right decision when they put Locker in as the starter.

Here’s to hoping that Lockers shoulder heals up good and quick.

Once we allow Jack Locker to run, the whole NFL should be warned!
