Tennessee Titans’ Kenny Britt Removed From PUP

The Tennessee Titans have taken WR Kenny Britt of the PUP list as he has passed his physical. Britt will be joining the active roster tomorrow, though he will not be playing against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday.

This should be the event that makes the league finally rule on Britt’s possible suspension. They’ve been holding us all hostage by withholding any word on it. It would not be surprising to hear word on it tomorrow.

From my understanding, it sounds like Britt is likely facing only a two-game suspension, which would be pretty amazing, considering the amount of mistakes he has made in his short time in the NFL.

Britt is a huge playmaker and you know the Titans are eager to pair him with QB Jake Locker. The Titans need as much help as they can get in their first four games and Britt could be a key difference. He could also help Locker’s confidence, as Britt has notoriously soft hands. The Titans will want to be careful with him though, as they can’t afford to have him go down again due to using him too much too soon after coming off the PUP.

But enough of those dreary thoughts… Let’s hope for the two-game suspension, aye?

Mostly due to the NFL’s lack of ruling on the Kenny Britt issue when Roger Goodell has been so strict with other players on everything from helmet to helmet hits to off the field issues, I have been thinking that there must be some part of the story that didnt make it to the press. The details surrounding that event were always murky, and now that Britt is getting a reduced sentence it would be interesting if there was some sort of mitigating circumstance that would reduce his suspension.

This has been a weird situation. It’s been frustrating to sit here waiting for an answer from Goodell. I’m just ready for this whole situation to be over with so we can move on to better things, you know?

Yes, agreed. I feel like if we knew his status we could better prepare. Like do we gameplan to try and beat new england, San diego, houston and detroit without him, or just new england and san diego? or are we going to have him from the outset? Goodell is kinda giving us the shaft here.

Exactly. Things are a lot different depending on whether we have Britt or not. It’d be nice for Locker to have Britt there, but I doubt he will.

Goodell is always giving someone the shaft… Not a fan of him.
