What to Watch For (Offense): Tennessee Titans vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tennessee Titans face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their second preseason game this Friday at Raymond James stadium. We’re still learning a lot about this team.

Here’s what to watch for:

Quarterbacks: Does Jake Locker take advantage of his first start? If Locker plays well and better than Hasselbeck against the Bucs than expect the talk of Locker starting week one against the Patriots to really heat up.

Running Backs: Chris Johnson had one nice reverse field run last week against the Seahawks. Look for the offense to make an effort getting C.J. involved and more in rhythm. After last weeks effort from Darius Reynaud, look for a battle between Ringer, Harper, and Reynaud for the final two spots at running back.

Offensive Line: Simple; get off the ball quicker, and get a push. There are too many plays where our backs are getting hit in the backfield. The line needs to create space.

Wide Receivers: This is a good group of young wide outs. Look for more plays down the field this week. Kendall Wright flashed last week and I have a feeling that he will all year, filling Britt’s void until he returns.

Tight Ends: Jared Cook looks as if he could explode this year but look for more targets to Taylor Thompson. Titans wants him to be a contributor this year if he is ready.

Agreed?
