Madden '13 Predicts the Downfall of CJ2K

Today Madden let us know who the top 10 RB’s in Madden 13 will be. It wasn’t the kindest to the Tennessee Titans’ Chris Johnson, who has been one of the best RB’s on Madden for the past few years. Not anymore.

Here’s a list of the to 10 RB’s on Madden 13, courtesy of FanSided:

10. Micheal Turner – RB/Atlanta Falcons  91 OVR

9. Jamaal Charles – RB/Kansas City Chiefs  91 OVR

8. Steven Jackson – RB/St Louis Rams  92 OVR

7. Frank Gore – RB/San Francisco 49ers  92 OVR

6. Matt Forte – RB/Chicago Bears  93 OVR

5. Ray Rice – RB/Baltimore Ravens  95 OVR

4. LeSean McCoy – RB/Philadelphia Eagles  95 OVR

3. Arian Foster – RB/Houston Texans  96 OVR

2. Adrian Peterson – RB/Minnesota Vikings  97 OVR

1. Maurice Jones-Drew – RB/Jacksonville Jaguars  97 OVR

That’s a long fall for Johnson. It looks as if he may not even be a 90, which would truly shock me. The good news is, Madden is just Madden. A simple video game.

Though Chris Johnson may never crack 2,000 yards again, I’d still gladly take him over 90% of the running backs in that top 10 (that’s 9 of them, for those of you not good with percentages). He’s fast, slippery, and this year especially, determined. His last few years have been disappointing.

This is his year to prove to everyone, including Madden, that he’s still one of the best running backs in the league, if not the best.
