It’s that time of season where teams like the Tennessee Titans add players you’ve never heard of before, most of which won’t make the roster.
The Titans did exactly that yesterday when they added TE Joey Haynos and WR Marcus Harris.
Joey Haynos entered the league in 2008 as an undrafted free agent and has yet to do much, though he played in 16 games for the Dolphins in 2009. That year he recorded 19 receptions for 162 yards and two touchdowns. In 2011 he was briefly a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars before being released. He was a free agent from then until the Titans signed him.
Marcus Harris is a second year player who was a member of the Detroit Lions practice squad after joining them as a undrafted free agent in 2011. He has yet to record a catch.
Fans tend to get overexcited whenever a player is added to the Titans roster. Obviously, these guys look to be the typical camp bodies and have very slim chances of making the team. The practice squad is a possibility, but don’t hold any high hopes for these guys.
I’m not trying to be killjoy, just trying to keep you all down here on Earth with the rest of us.
