NFL Introduces AP Power Rankings; Tennessee Titans Rank 21st

It was recently announced that the NFL is introducing a weekly AP Power Poll for the NFL upon the start of the season. This is essentially the Pro version of the Top 25 AP Poll for NCAA football. While power rankings have existed for years on numerous sites, it’s never been officially compiled like it will be this season.

As can be gathered from this headline, the Tennessee Titans ranked 21st overall. The Packers topped the list at number one, while the Colts anchored the bottom at 32.  The following is a list of the voters responsible for the rankings:

  • Chris Berman, ESPN
  • Clifton Brown, Sporting News
  • Cris Collinsworth, NBC Sports
  • Rich Gannon, CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio
  • Bob Glauber, Newsday
  • Rick Gosselin, Dallas Morning News
  • Clark Judge, CBSSports.com
  • Ira Kaufman, Tampa Tribune
  • Pat Kirwan, SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com
  • John Lynch, Fox Sports
  • Alex Marvez, Foxsports.com
  • Dan Pompei, Chicago Tribune

For the record, we are the only team in the bottom half of the rankings that had a winning season last year, so there’s that. You can click this link to view the list in it’s entirety.
