Yesterday the Indianapolis Colts finally were able to sign Andrew Luck, the number one pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, just a day after the Redskins inked Robert Griffin III to a four-year deal.
The question still remains for the Tennessee Titans, when will they sign Baylor’s Kendall Wright?
According to reports, the lingering issue is a fully guaranteed contract. Wright’s agent is using the argument that last years’ 20th pick, Adrian Clayborn, received a fully guaranteed contract. The Titans are firing back with the fact that three earlier picks from the same draft received only three years guaranteed with a part of the fourth year guaranteed.
Until that matter is resolved, I wouldn’t expect to hear any news of Wright signing.
The Titans need Wright for the start of the season, especially after considering the fact the Kenny Britt has a big question mark by his name. That means they need him there for every bit of training camp. Wright is going to be deeply involved in this offense from the get-go and need him to be as up-to-speed as possible from game one.
Hopefully they can come to terms soon. I just wanna watch him scorch some defenses…
