I bet you can guess what Tennessee Titans tid bit I’ve got for you today. It’s about that offensive line that kept Hasselbeck alive this past season by putting up one of the best pass blocking performances by any of lines in the league.
Another gem, courtesy of PFF, shows one of the Titans favorite lineman, David Stewart, coming in 4th overall in awesomeness for offensive linemen in the league over the past three years. Here’s the chart from PFF’s “Three Years of Pass Blocking Efficiency: Offensive Tackles“:
|Rank||Player||Current Team||Pass Protects||Total Pressure||PBE|
I won’t lie, I’m a little surprise his bookend Michael Roos didn’t find his way onto this list. They’re one of the best OT tandems in the league and are a big reason why Hasselbeck enjoyed the success he did this past season.
I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for any other offensive lineman of the Titans showing up on any of these other lists to come. The interior of the Titans line this last year was a major embarrassment and I’ll be shocked if PFF has any of them on there, though they have always had some odd love for Jake Scott… I take that back. I didn’t take into account the newest addition to the Titans offensive line, Steve Hutchinson.
Hold your breath people, there may yet be hope.
