The Tennessee Titans have added yet another receiver to the mix with the addition of undrafted free agent WR D.J. Woods. The Titans already have a very crowded WR that includes some guys from the practice squad last year. All together they total ten.
Woods had a dominant Junior year at Cincinnati but saw his production fall dramatically his senior year, perhaps due to personal reasons such as his fathers double lung transplant and the birth of his first child.
Woods is an interesting addition as he had impressive sophomore and junior seasons and could have seen himself drafted had he chosen to leave early. Such a poor senior season definitely killed his draft stock. Then again, undrafted free agents always seem like interesting additions and have you hoping for a hidden gem, but often turn out to be little more than a camp body.
But hey, it’s still early in the year and optimism is still alive and well. So in the spirit of that, good luck to Woods.
