Tennessee Titans' Kenny Britt One of the Best, Yard for Yard

The Tennessee Titans’ WR Kenny Britt is one of the best, yard for yard. For today’s Titans stat, courtesy of our friends over at PFF, we “Three Years of Yards Per Route Run: Wide Receivers.”

Now due to injury, Britt nearly missed this category because he barely had enough snaps to qualify for it. But alas, he has kept just healthy enough to make the minimum amount of snaps for it and he came in third overall in the NFL. Here’s the chart with the top rankings.

Via PFF:

Rank Name Current Team Rec. Yards Pass Routes Yards Per Route Run
1 Andre Johnson HOU 3478 1341 2.59
2 Wes Welker NE 3990 1637 2.44
3 Kenny Britt TEN 1765 725 2.43
4 Jordy Nelson GB 2500 1040 2.40
5 Percy Harvin MIN 2666 1124 2.37
6 Hakeem Nicks NYG 3479 1543 2.25
7 Brandon Marshall CHI 3348 1488 2.25
8 Brandon Lloyd NE 2531 1125 2.25
9 Malcom Floyd SD 2379 1066 2.23
10 Sidney Rice SEA 2270 1055 2.15
11 Roddy White ATL 3947 1854 2.13
12 Calvin Johnson DET 4002 1886 2.12
13 Greg Jennings GB 3800 1804 2.11
14 Marques Colston NO 3744 1785 2.10
15 Vincent Jackson TB 2519 1234 2.04

The guys at PFF were surprise to see Kenny Britt up there, but I think any Titans’ fan would have expected it, as I did. Kenny Britt is an absolute terror when healthy and a big receiver that’s hard to bring down. Had Kenny been healthy for every season, he’d probably be right at the top fighting Andre Johnson for that number one spot, and that’s no joke.

If Kenny can shake the troubles that have haunted his legs the past few seasons and keep healthy, he could be well on his way to the Hall of Fame. He has three seasons under his belt so far and will only be turning 24 this fall. The kid has mountains of potential and we see it every time he steps on the field.

Please stay healthy Kenny. Please! You’re a huge part of this offense and we all love watching you destroy opposing defenses. Take care of your body.

We’ll see you out there.

Kenny Britt should repeat that this season because I have no fear that the injury will not effect him because the injury happened so early. I think AP injury will be fully healed also!

     @Drake I sure hope so!

@jstitansized They are young. So, it most likely will! On the other hand, if that is not the case, it would be very harmful for both teams since they are both key players!

According to Michael Fabiano’s Facebook status, “Report: Kenny Britt has knee surgery on his other knee (that’s 3 surgeries in the last 10 months). Could begin camp on PUP list.”
