I know this barely qualifies as news, but tis a slow week for anything noteworthy. You may remember this gentleman by the name of Lance Shulters; he was brought in after Blaine Bishop’s career was over (final season with Philly notwithstanding).
Initially drafted by the San Francisco 49’ers, Shulters was the type of player that peaked early, making it to the Pro Bowl during his 2nd season in 1999, but struggled to maintain that level of performance the following years. He did experience something of a brief renaissance in coming to Tennessee, though, as his first year with us in 2002, he posted 86 tackles and 6 INT’s, to go along with 2 sacks. By his third season with us, he was limited to 3 games due to injury, and was released the following off-season.
Former NFL safety Lance Schulters has been charged with domestic assault [for allegedly shoving his wife in front of their two daughters], according to WTVF Channel 5 in Nashville. Schulters was a member of the Titans for three years from 2002 through 2004, coming to the team as a free agent from the San Francisco 49ers. He still lives in Nashville. Schulters played for the Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons after leaving the Titans. He also spent time in coaching as a part of Raheem Morris’ staff in Tampa Bay last year as a training camp intern. – National Football Post
Lance Shulters currently lives in Nashville Tennessee. It is uncertain whether or not he has an attorney.
