Manning Must Sign?

Is Peyton Manning a must sign for the Titans now?

After the media attention, the speculation, Bud’s comments, and the fan’s outcries would the organization look foolish if the front office doesn’t get Peyton in two-tone blue?

Going all in on Manning didn’t allow us to look at Mario Williams at all and if we don’t get either, at first, it will seem like a big blow to everyone involved with the Titans. However, with the signing of Hutchinson and what looks like the eventual signing of Scott Wells, the Titans have fixed the interior of their offensive line which is huge.

The team has been linked to free agent John Abraham, who is a much needed pass rushing specialist. Is he enough though to the fold without Manning on the squad? Without the impact Manning would bring to this team if that signing occurs it would be average, if both occur the Titans are a serious title contender.

Most of this is hypothetical, but important to think about.

Also as fans we need to remember that we do have our “future” quarterback in Jake Locker in the fold and next year, with Manning or not, this team will be on the rise and competitive.

***Update: John Abraham re-signed to Falcons, now even more of a must sign.

Manning will sign? Of course he will because he has college football roots here and plus we have Chris Johnson who is the fastest Running Back in the league.

Manning get it over with already. Tired of  all the freakin’coverage.End it already. If he wants a 5 year contract, he’d better win 5 straight superbowls , if not I’d consider the signing a failure.
