My center of choice... Vladimir Cherry-US PRESSWIRE

Chris Myers to Visit Tennessee Titans Today

Free agent C Chris Myers is scheduled to meet with the Tennessee Titans today. I’d like to see the Titans make this signing. It has become quite apparent that Amano can’t cut it at the C position and Myers would be an amazing upgrade. Yesterday the Titans met with the Green Bay Packers free agent C Scott Wells. The Titans seem determined to bring someone in at the position and it’s a move every Titans fan should be excited about.

Who ever they do bring in should create a big boost for a run game that suffered do to terrible run blocking, in which Chris Johnson was often having to fight his way out of his own backfield. It also creates an even more desirable blocking scheme for whoever will be starting at QB for the Titans this next season, be it Hasselbeck, Locker, or Manning.

Hopefully Manning will make his choice today, allowing all the teams involved in the hunt to move forward with their plans.

Mario Williams is another player the Titans have interest in and if Manning comes at a decent enough price, the Titans could possibly add both Manning and Williams, making the Titans very serious contenders in the upcoming season.

Even without the Manning signing, Williams is a big player of interest to the Titans and appears to be drawing out negotiations with the Buffalo Bills in order to see what the outcome is with Peyton Manning and the Titans.

Today should be an exciting day for the Titans. They could very well be making their first free agency signings.

When do you expect to hear about this? This would be a great signing. Very under rated center.
