Tennessee Titans Resemble New York Giants

That's a touchdown... Don McPeak-US PRESSWIRE

Today MusicCityMiracles released an article by their in-depth breakdown guy, SuperHorn. It’s a must read. He breaks down a general play that is incorporated by both the Titans and the New York Giants that is very effective when use with the right personnel. The comparisons are undeniable. Hakeem Nicks to our Kenny Britt, Washington to Cruz and our playbook to theirs. After all, our OC Chris Palmer has spent more than enough time in New York.

In the comments someone also brightly pointed out the pain it causes the run game, the Titans ranking 31st while the Giants came in dead last at 32nd. That was a big fear all of us Titans fans had when Chris Palmer was elected OC. His resume showed a lack of run game but we all figured a back, such as Chris Johnson, wouldn’t fall prey to that kind of thing. It wasn’t helped any by poor run blocking.

The Titans have a young gunslinger waiting in the wings who’s specialty is the deep ball. That’s a big part of the point that SH pushes. It’ll be interesting to see who wins the QB battle in camp.

There’s no way for me to do a proper, beautiful summary of SuperHorn’s giant read, so I encourage you to go check it out. It’s a heck of a read and you stand to learn a lot from reading it.
