After interviewing for multiple head coaching positions, Jerry Gray has announced that he will still be the Titans defensive coordinator in 2012.
Via NFL.com:
“I am going to be the defensive coordinator for the Titans and I am glad to be working for the Titans,” Gray told the newspaper. “That’s what I’m going to be doing.”
It’s a fortunate thing for the Titans to keep him. There wasn’t any real belief that he’d be chosen as a head coach of any of the teams that he interviewed for but it still gives you a little scare. The Titans have just begun to see his defensive scheming start to unroll and it would be a bit of a set back to lose the coach who set it all in motion.
It’s good to hear he’ll be sticking around.
