Tennessee Titans Re-sign TE Craig Stevens to 4- Year Deal

The Titans have made their first re-signing. Craig Stevens, the Titans 3rd round pick in the 2008 NFL draft, has been re-signed to a 4-year deal worth approximately $15 million. This was a great move by the Titans. Stevens has shown this year how versatile and important he is to this organization and is a great complement to Jared Cook’s receiving style. Stevens is a strong blocker for the Titans and has showcased a great catching ability this year.

Stevens recorded nine receptions for 166 yards and a touchdown this season and should look to improve upon those numbers this next season.

The Tennessean got a quick word from Stevens about the contract:

“I am extremely grateful and glad they brought me back,” Stevens said. “I love this city and team.”

It’s nice to see the Titans finally making some moves with some of their larger free agents, though I’d guess we’ll have to wait a while longer before we hear about what’s going to happen with some of the bigger players such as FS Michael Griffin, CB Cortland Finnegan and OG Jake Scott.
