Texans Back to Full Strength for Final Game

The Texans will be as close to full strength as they can be Sunday when the Titans come to town. The Texans expect wide receiver Andre Johnson to play, after missing the past three weeks due to injury. They also expect Wade Phillips to be back, though he’ll be coaching from the press box instead of the sideline.

The real question is whether they’ll play Johnson the entire game or not. The Texans already have their playoff spot reserved and they’ll need Johnson if they want to make it anywhere in the playoffs so it’ll be interesting to see how much playing time he gets. My guess would be around a quarter. He needs to get on the field and get back in the flow of things after being sidelined with injuries for so much of this season. They’re still gonna be gentle with him though. He’ll be a big part of the Texans post season push and without him their chances of advancing in the playoffs become pretty slim.

One dimensional teams just can’t survive in the playoffs, especially when that dimension is running.
