Here’s the last part of our exclusive interview with Jamie Harper. If you’d like to catch up, click here for part one.

Why do you think the running game currently ranks dead last in the NFL?

Jamie Harper: If you would’ve asked me when the Tennessee Titans drafted me, did I think the Titans would be last in the league, I think I would have bet the house that we would never be last in rushing.

It’s one of those things where you just have to sit back and shake your head. It’s just execution, plain and simple execution. If 10 guys are doing their job, on guy is not. It’s not ever just one person, it’s all of us together. A running back might miss a cut, a lineman might miss a block…”

Jamie went on to list nearly everything that could go wrong on a single play and just wanted to point out that it never comes down to just one person. It’s always a team effort on every play. He went on to say that “we’re fully capable of coming back…and imposing our will on defenses with our power running game down the stretch.”
