In a game that saw the top two teams of the AFC South vie for the title lead, the Titans were unable to leave the game atop the rankings. As bad as the score seems, it unfortunately tells the story.
The Titans allowed RB’s Arian Foster and Ben Tate to combine for 219 yards rushing, with Foster adding two touchdowns. Fost also added over 100 yards receiving, thanks in large part to a 78 yard receiving touchdown.
Texans quarterback Matt Schaub threw for 296 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions looking largely unchallenged by the Titans secondary.
The Titans really never had an answer for anything the Texans did. On offense, the Titans struggled to run the ball (10 carries, 18 yards for Chris Johnson) and struggled to make an impact through the air as well, with Hasselbeck throwing two interceptions on a rough day passing in which he only completed 14/30 passes.
It was a tough game to watch for anyone pulling for the Titans. I’ll have more analysis on the game tomorrow.
