Titans Release Starting Full Back Quinn Johnson

I’ll admit, I was a big proponent for keeping Quinn Johnson. There is now egg on my face, thanks to Rotoworld.

That changed my mind, but I can’t help wonder if there is a conspiracy.

However, with Chris Johnson repeatedly mentioning how the offensive line and himself were not n’sync (terrible 90s reference), it does make me wonder how much was actually on Quinn Johnson’s shoulders. He wasn’t really set up to succeed. Think about it. He reached the team after camp, then started in front of CJ, and we all know how Cj has done so far. I’m sure a lot of it was Johnson, but there’s no way it was all his fault, as it seems to be.

Another angle to consider is the trade. When the Titans traded fro QJ, the trade involved an “undisclosed draft pick”. It’s very possible that the pick remained contingent upon QJ playing a certain amount of games, like….more than 4. It’s entirely possible that the Titans are not in the debt of the Packers concerning a pick and if that is so, well bravo Mr Reinfedlt (GM)! Bravo!
