After two weeks, I’m proud to say that I stand 22-10 in my picks. My best guess last week turned out to be the 49ers over the Eagles. Now I can see why the other writers here haven’t been challenging me…..yes, that’s an invitation.
Now, let’s get started with Week 5.
The 1 PM Games
Philadelphia @ Buffalo
-I pick the Bills. My faith in the Eagles has….waned.
New Orleans @ Carolina
-Saints, no question. They look unstoppable.
Oakland @ Houston
-I’m going with Da Raiders. I think McFadden tops 150 yards rushing.
Kansas City @ Indianapolis
-I vote Chiefs. They’ll finish second in their division behind Oakland.
Cincinatti @ Jacksonville
-Cedric Benson still plays and Jaguars lose.
Arizona @ Minnesota
-Cardinals should win this. The Vikings can’t be consistent at this point, at least not in the second half.
Seattle @ New York Giants
-The Giants are on a roll, and the Seahawks start Tarvaris Jackson. Giants.
Tennessee @ Pittsburgh
-Titans win. Not being a homer, the Steelers are just breaking down. However, I doubt CJ rushes for 100 yards, despite the Steelers defensive run game struggles.
The 4 PM Games
Tampa Bay @ San Francisco
-I’ll be honest, this is the game I’m most looking forward to watching this week. Two hard-fighting teams battling it out for what could be a wild card spot. Which team wants the playoffs the most? It’s only week 5 and that will matter.
San Diego @ Denver
-I’ve given up hope for Denver, but I bet both starting RB’s top 100 yards– Ryan Matthews (SD) and Willis McGahee (DEN). Chargers win.
New York Jets @ New England
-I hope Tom Brady throws for 350 yards….on Antonio Cromartie’s side. Pats win.
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Green Bay @ Atlanta
-I just don’t see Atlanta keeping pace, which is ironic because it’s the entire reason they got WR Julio Jones. Pack wins by 10.
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Chicago @ Detroit
-Bears win. That’s right, I’m calling upset.
