Our league consists of 8 teams, it’s on ESPN and you can look at it right here.
We’ll be doing weekly updates of the league so you can laugh at bad plays and keep up with which writer beats the other ones.
Heartbreaker of the Week
Our own Justin Stewart tied me for the highest score in the league. Unfortunately, he played against CJ Sports (the website that combines my power rankings with other blogs for an average). Justin’s running back’s combined for 10 points (P Hillis and S Greene). What a letdown! Those weren’t even bad plays. Justin’s Norwegian Plunderers look to fight another day.
Final Score: CJ Sports 120–Norwegian Plunderers 99
Ernie Padaon–runs the Bolt Beat (chargers on Fansided)–and found a way to lose against Matt Mayerhoff. Mayerhoff, a newcomer by all standards, made sure to stack his team deep enough so that when he faced a guy that played Tom Brady and his 500-yd throwing effort, Mayerhoff would still win.
Final Score: Team Mayerhoff 94–Team Padaon Jr 86
A Big Thank You
Looking through binoculars at his ‘View from across the Pond’, Stephen Clark did me a favor and knocked my brother down a notch. The ConVicks were defeated by the Yorkshire Tykes. Sounds to me like my brother lost to some little kids. That’s what he gets for playing Arian Foster, who was out. Look for the ‘Tykes’ to get even better next week, they may even play a kicker.
Final Score: Yorkshire Tykes 94–The ConVicks 73
Writer vs Writer
My team, Straight Cash Homey, squared off against the ‘Tennessee Titans’–Richard Adkins fantasy team. Thats right, he loves the Titans so much that he named his fantasy team after them…..either that of he didn’t come up with a creative name and wrote that last minute. One of them. So, with Chris Johnson, Matt Schaub and Rashard Mendenhall combining for 12 points, Ricky suffered defeat at my hands. I’m proud of it. You couldn’t have lost to a better man, Ricky. It’s great this didn’t affect me and my ego.
Final Score: Straight Cash Homey 99–Tennessee Titans 80
