Titans Updates: Tulloch Soon, Chris Hope a Mystery

Photo: Titans Safety Chri$ Hope, per NFL.com

Stephen Tulloch hasn’t quite left us in the dark and SideLionReport (Lions on Fansided) has a write-up for you with the main update being that there will be an update soon, per Stephen Tulloch himself.

Chris Hope has no update, but I wanted to bring the contract to your attention.

Per Rotoworld:

2011: $6 million, 2012: Free Agent. In addition to his $6 million base salary, Hope is due a $500,000 roster bonus in the 2011 offseason.

Hope wasn’t that good last year. I’ll prove it.

On Pro Football Focus’ grading, Hope ranked as the 43rd best safety. 35 safeties had positive grades. Hope had a neutral grade, not bad not good just neutral.

As you can see, he makes too much money. He’s older and not as good as he once was, and while a solid player…..the contract outweighs the play. This makes you think it’s about time that he gets cut. I’m not sure, but the reason he hasn’t been cut may be that the team is trying to shop him. If so, they’re failing.
