NFL Update: Bush, Haynesworth, Olsen and Jake Locker

Rookie QB Jake Locker helped hand deliver tickets today (photo)

–pretty good idea, seeing as he isn’t under contract and couldn’t practice

With Aldon Smith (pick 7) signed and Tyron Smith (pick 9) signed, it’s safe to assume that Locker should be close (pick 8 )

–good to see it’s moving along so quickly. holdouts ruin the pre-season hype of the NFL

Our old friend Albert Haynesworth will now play for New England, after being traded from Washington.

–Yet another “Patriots take in talented, but trouble player and will redeem said player due to the amazing locker room presence offered by QB Tom Brady and other leaders”. It happens every year and I’m still confused why teams seemingly refuse to replicate it. Haynesworth will probably be fine.

Sources tell ESPN Chicago’s Michael Wright that the Chicago Bears could be looking to trade TE Greg Olsen

–No Surprise. Olsen doesn’t fit a pass-happy offense, which is coordinator Mike Martz’ goal.. He is no Dallas Clark (Colts TE), however he would be great for the Titans. More to come.

Former Saints #2 overall pick Reggie Bush will now play for the Miami Dolphins after a trade that also gives Bush a 2-year contract.

–Bush was scheduled to make $9 million this season. That’s far too much for the self-proclaimed ‘best paid decoy in the NFL’. The 2 year contract from Miami tells all.
