It’s getting harder to both read and post articles on Britt simply due to the recurring storyline. If you read his name, it’s associated with a bad mistake right now. The good news is that it’s over.We already knew that the Nashville, Tennessee police claimed two outstanding warrants on Britt and now we know, for sure, that it’s over. According to ESPN’s AFC South Blogger Paul Kuharksy, Britt turned himself in on Wednesday before being released on a $2,000 bond.
Let’s focus on the fact that it is over and hopefully now Britt can wake up from this nightmarish off-season and move on with his life. I’m ready to assume that the warrants were the reasons he was not participating in the player-organized workouts. Now, maybe, Britt can return to his team and begin working out with the proclaimed “future of the franchise”–rookie QB Jake Locker.
Britt remains a bright spot for the team, on the field. Now, let’s just sit back and watch Britt develop into the star we know he can be.
