Chris Johnson (RB) – STAYING
News of CJ2K’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. Just look at this year’s final stats (316 carries, 1364 yards, 11 TDs; 44 receptions, 245 yards, TD). If the Titans were in the playoffs, CJ2K would have received his 3rd Pro Bowl invite in as many years. Only one other running back in the NFL is in the class of Chris Johnson.
Javon Ringer (RB) – STAYING
Ringer’s season was about what Titan fans should expect going forward. A nifty, diminutive back that can spell CJ after long runs. Ringer is an inexpensive, quality, depth player that the Titans will probably keep around, unless Stafon Johnson has a breakout off-season and demonstrates durability.
Ahmard Hall (FB) – STAYING
Another solid campaign both blocking and receiving out of the backfield, guarantees Hall will be in the powdered blue again next season. Hopefully the next Titan quarterback will fully utilize the receiving ability of this shifty marine. Semper Fi!
LeGarrette Blount (RB) – SHOULD HAVE STAYED
Blount will not be in Titans uniform next year, and sadly that is not the worst news. Time and time again this year, the Titans desperatele needed a bruising running back on the roster. Blount is a punishing runner between the tackles and with moves like this, would have been an amazing change of pace from CJ2K.
