Around the AFC South: Week 3 Recap

Hey Guys, and welcome to my weekly article in which I recap the other teams in the AFC South’s weekend.

Houston Texans- The Texans were hyped up as finally being able to get over the hump this year. Sound familiar? Yeah we get this every year. This was their big coming out game, where they were going to smash the floundering Cowboys at their own stadium. Well…about that, the Cowboys easily handled the Texans 27-13. The game was not as close as the score indicated, and the Cowboys were in control the entire game. Worse for the Texans, Andre Johnson suffered a high ankle sprain, but he looks to be ready to go for this coming game.

Indianapolis Colts- I am not sure what to make of the Colts. The Colts beat the Denver Broncos by a score of 27-13, however, unlike the Cowboys, the Colts did not look as impressive in doing so. The offense was largely helped by Austin Collie’s monster 171 yd, 2 td game, but the defense is suspect big time.

Jacksonville Jaguars- Oh the Jaguars, what an awful week for them. The Jaguars were demolished 28-3 by the Michael Vick led Philadelphia Eagles. The Jaguars looked bad, there’s no way around that. The offense struggled, and David Gerrard looked especially bad, throwing a few suspect interceptions. Michael Vick looked like a superstar; frankly no one on the Jaguars seemed to be able to stop him. Maybe they just ran into a buzzsaw with Vick and all? I am not sure what I saw, but it was bad.
