In case you are out of the loop, not from Tennessee, or even just live in a different, less rain soaked part of the state like I do, Nashville is a mess right now. Torrential rains over the past few days have left much of downtown flooded, including Baptist Sports Park, which is where the Titans hold their practices.
LP Field is in danger of flooding, given the high water levels and the proximity of the field to the Cumberland River. I don’t know much more then this as of now, but if any fans or people reading this know anything more or have any details whatsoever about any Titans Player’s homes or anything of that nature, feel free to comment here and let us and anyone that reads this know. Our thoughts and Prayers here at Titansized go out to all affected by these floods.
UPDATE: As of Noon today, Monday May 3rd, the Cumberland River has Overflowed and LP field’s parking lot and probably soon the entire field will be flooded. Stay tuned for more info as I get it.
UPDATE 2: Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel has just reported through his twitter that the Army Corps of Engineers are most likely going to release water into the Cumberland River to relieve pressure upstream. Meaning LP Field could be under water entirely by the end of the night.
UPDATE 3: According to the Tennessean.com there is water in the lower seating bowl of LP Field and in the Locker Room and rising. This is serious folks.
