Jeff Fisher doesn't understand or trust the passing game, so for him this probably seems like a no-brainer. Mason is past his prime and doesn't seem the least bit interested in "mentoring" anyone....so of course Fisher wants him on the roster. Hell, he should be paid double what he's worth just because he's a "veteran." If Mason can somehow convince Fisher that he's recently had a hip replacement, then he'll probably end up first string. I love my Titans, but our ship's captain makes some of the worst off-season personnel decisions every year. Even without the salary cap, Fisher will make sure that the Titans have more than enough money in the bank come fall. Jeff Fisher is a great CPA, but a lousy judge of talent (oh and since I know that everyone will point out Chris Johnson...Felix Jones was the Titans #1 RB choice in the draft, so Fisher & Co. lucked out).
