How ’bout them Bears? That was really something last night. I really enjoyed watching that game. I still think Jay Cutler is a puke but I had zero qualms watching him get the win last night. Brett Favre has kind of turned into a turd. I have really grown tired of his act. It was fun watching him get shut down though. I was really impressed with the way the Bears effectively stopped him time and time again. What was not so impressive was the way the Bears let the Vikings back in the game. I must admit though I was rooting for the tie and thrilled with the idea of watching overtime. I made a particularly great batch of hot wings last night and I was chasing them with ice cold Coors light. I really didn’t want the game to end as I was enjoying myself so much. Truth be told I was actually rooting for a tie. That would have been great. I don’t think I’ve seen a tie since Donovan McNabb forgot the overtime rules. That was funny.
I was glad to see the Bears play with so much heart. They could have really just mailed it in. They’ve stunk it up all year. What difference would it have made? No, they choose not to do that. They stood in there and fought hard and nearly let it slip away. I bet the Bears will have a resurgence next season. They had better. I sense Lovie Smith isn’t so sure based on his post game remarks. I love this one quote in particular. “I’m confident that I’ll be coaching (against) the Detroit Lions this week, and that’s about as far as you need to go.” Wow. What does that mean? Sounds like Lovie Smith might think his days in Chicagoland are almost over. Who knows what the off season will bring? I feel like it’s already begun.
