Wow. The second I put Peyton Manning down for the win and 3 second half scores what in the world happens? I’m really beside myself. I can hear Herm Edwards in my head right now.
You play to win the game. Hello? You play to win the game. You don’t play it to just play it. That’s the great thing about sports: you play to win, and I don’t care if you don’t have any wins. You go play to win. When you start tellin’ me it doesn’t matter, then retire. Get out! ‘Cause it matters.
I guess I must have underestimated Coach Caldwell. I thought he was going to do something truly remarkable this season. They should have just started Painter. Pissing away a lead with the home crowd booing and Peyton Manning on the sideline… What does Caldwell think this is? Baseball? If you pull your starter he can re-enter the game. If you don’t win the game what’s the point of playing Peyton the whole first half and into the 3rd quarter? I can’t wait to boo hiss Caldwell in the divisional round. It’s not that I wanted to see the Colts win, it’s just that I’ve had a rough week football wise and maintain a low tolerance for bullshit. It’s kind of like watching my neighbor fuck around on his hot wife. It has nothing to do with me. I have no emotional stake in it. It’s none of my damn business. It just pains me to see a team lose with a talent like Manning on the sideline. Manning played too long to lose. If they were going to do some weak shit like this they should have let him play 1 quarter or two series tops… not into the 3rd quarter with a slim lead. That’s garbage.
