Heyo Titans fans! What’s that you say? The Titans are undefeated?!? I know, 2-0! Yay! Sure it’s no big deal that the team has won their first two preseason games, but it certainly is a nice way to open up the football season. The defense has looked solid so far, with great contributions from the regulars (Mike Grif, Finny and Thornton to name a few) as well as some of the rookies (McRath Mouton and Marks especially). The youngins’ have been doing there part on the offensive side of the ball as well, as Britt, Cook and Ringer have all [...]

Hey campers, The summer is almost over (in the “school is about to start” and/or the “you’ll probably see all of your co-workers at work at the same time” sense) which reminds me of a few things: First off, the summer really lasts for another month and a half (and if you have a membership to a local swimming pool, they’ll probably let you hang out until Labor Day). Secondly, my favorite baseball team is still in last place in their division (23 games back) and building on an already impressive decade of futility. Lastly, and most importantly, we’ve got [...]

TitanSized/Kenny Powers On Deadspin…

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

That’s right, that’s our man Nick Bishop (which is me, so I guess I’m my man), chubby and hunch-backed, featured on Deadspin.com. My wonderful friends here in Nashville bought me a personalized Kenny Powers Atlanta Braves jersey for my birthday (yes, you missed it), and I wore it to a Braves/Dodgers game last weekend. A game that we didn’t actually get into because the damn thing was down to standing room only and it was 100 degrees outside. A hot s mess. Anyway, thanks again to all of my friends and family that pitched in for the jersey. I love [...]

A Steve McNair Tribute, Practice Fights, Church Dancing and VY Speaks

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Pretty sad that that’s the best title I could come up with. And trust me, I tried. On to the topics at hand though… This year the Tennessee Titans will wear a #9 decal on the back of ther helmets in tribute to Steve McNair. They aren’t allowed to wear a patch because they have already committed to wearing one commemorating the 50th anniversary of the AFL. I imagine that there is still more to come in regards to paying tribute to McNair this season, but this is a start. We’ll be sure to post it once we have a [...]

LenDale may get a big payday (and subsequently all the Patron he wants) from losing all that weight. Jim Washburn talks about life post-Haynesworth. Best thing I’ve found in a long, long time. Chris Johnson, Keith Bulluck, LenDale White and Chad OchoCinco. I’ve spent hours watching these things. And live, they are even better. Sometimes hilarious and (dare I say) insightful. Sometimes elementary and disgusting. But nevertheless, always entertaining. I’ve got a lot more on this later, and how it further blurs the line between fans and athletes. I think it’s a great thing (for now), but others don’t. Britt [...]
