Marks Signs… Training Camp Starts Tomorrow!!!!
Alright, we’re about ready to get back into the full swing of things with training camp starting up tomorrow. This is always a fun time of year, but the anticipation for week one can get to you after a while. Thanks goodness we don’t have to wait too long for some “real” football, as the Titans square off against Terrell Owens and the Buffalo Bills on Aug, 9 in the Hall of Fame Game. Sure it’s just pre-season, but there is a lot on the line for some of the second and third team guys, namely in the QB and [...]

TitanSized’s Tuesday Links
Hey young world… it’s been a little while since we’ve posted. We’re glad that your glad to hear from us again. It means a lot to us. This is another one of those down times of the off-season that leaves NFL bloggers struggling to come up with content. Or at least it’s hard for us, but hey, we’re not all that bright. We just thought we’d throw a few links your way on this lovely Tuesday in Nashville. Here you go… Reader Bill Hendrickson asked in the comments section what the full Titans training camp schedule looked like (specifically the [...]
Derrick Mason Announces His Retirement
Former Tennessee Titan Derrick Mason announced his retirement yesterday on jocklife.com. According to Mason: I have had a tremendous career and I played for two great teams, I had fun. In my career, I have been able to do everything but win a Super Bowl. I’ve had the opportunity to play on great teams and with great players. After 12 years, I have seen it all and done it all. Right now, I am content with the decision I am making. All good things come to an end and I am ready to see what else life has to offer. [...]
The Music City Miracle Like You’ve Never Seen It Before
Was checking my sites this afternoon and came across this from Bolt Beat, FanSided’s San Diego Chargers blog. I know you’ve seen the play countless times by now, but have you ever seen it set to “Promontory” from The Last of the Mohicans soundtrack? Quite possibly the greatest film score ever. Didn’t think so. That’s all. Enjoy. Music City Miracle – Watch the best video clips here
Photos From LP Field Memorial
Here are some photos from the LP Field memorial that I went to with our “photographer” yesterday afternoon. Click on them to see the image larger. All pictures taken by Ryan P. Alger (who we would like to send out special Happy Birthday wish to). The video tribute on the Jumbotron was pretty neat. I believe it was a half-hour special “Titans All Access” with Mike Keith that was aired back in 2004. I think my favorite part was when they were interviewing Steve’s mother, Lucille, about the state championship Steve and his brother Fred won when Steve was a [...]
A Little Closure…
I was trying to think of some way to start this post when I first sat down tonight, and nothing seemed to just blurt out like it usually does. The words haven’t all week really, but other than the fact that this is a Titans website and I (we) love the Titans, it has also been a good way to get at least some of this stuff out and down. It’s one thing to lose a hero. It’s another to watch him fall so far from grace, all the way to his untimely death. But that’s not what it’s about. [...]
Some Speculation on a McNair Motive
First off, this whole thing is still more than surreal. I know that there’s been a lot of national coverage focusing on both Steve McNair’s career and murder, but here in Nashville this is the biggest “news story” that I’ve observed in my 16 years living here. For the last three days, every second of air time on local sports radio has been consumed by broadcasters, former colleagues and callers expressing their loss, support and disappointment. Regardless, everyone given airtime has been truly effected by Steve McNair on very real levels- whether it was a personal relationship or just what [...]
Titans To Hold Tribute For Steve McNair At LP Field
So, the Titans have just released their own plans for a McNair memorial that will be held this Wednesday and Thursday at LP Field. We told you about this one yesterday, but the Titans will be putting on one of their own, featuring a giant “photo mural” of #9 outside the stadium and video highlights on loop on the JumboTron. Should be pretty neat, but I hope they have more in store for the season. Via The Tennessean’s website: The Titans will open LP Field on Wednesday and Thursday to give fans an opportunity to pay their respects to quarterback [...]
Tuesday’s Steve McNair Links
This tragedy just seems to keep unfolding. We now know that Sahel Kazemi purchased the gun that was used to kill McNair and, eventually her, from a private dealer last Thursday. So the series of events we know at this point looks something like this: Kazemi and McNair were pulled over on Wednesday evening/early Thursday morning by Metro Police (the same officer who arrested McNair a few years ago) for suspicion of DUI in a vehicle that had been registered under both of their names. There are rumors that the vehicle being co-registered are a bit overblown and that it [...]
