Boldin to Titans rumors flying around the interweb!!!!!!!!

Was just watching SportsCenter and they had a breaking news alert that said the Titans were offering a 2nd round pick and a player (unnamed) to the Cardinals for Anquan Boldin. Apparently, they have received permission to speak with his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, about a new contract as well. Holy hell.

Not sure who the player may be. Tulloch? Stamer? Harris? Amano?

We may actually have something to be excited about this off-season.

UPDATE: Arizona has made a statement that saying no team has made an offer as of yet for Boldin. Maybe not, but that doesn’t mean one won’t. We should find out a lot more here pretty soon. Stay tuned Titans fans.

    I’m betting it’s Lendale White or Chris Henry. The Cards need a decent RB to replace Edgerrin James.

    If we drop LenDale for Anquan I think that’s a mistake. He’s finally shedding some pounds this offseason to become a real [speedy] threat in 09! Granted, ever since rumors of Boldin wanting to be traded started to surface I got excited thinking he may come to Nashville… I guess we’ll see.

    i was thinking that too, but lendale is more valuable to us this year than he would be to the cards (contract year, still under rookie salary, they’ve already got a pounder in hightower and lendale isn’t an every down back) and henry is, ummm… not good. he may not even break camp with the titans with rafael little staring him down. i’d be ok with giving up either, and you’re right, it would make sense. we shall see…

    If we got Anquan Boldin, we’d have two quick receivers to use as deep threats, plus Boldin can double as a possession receiver along side Gage.

    With that kind of speed and talent, you wouldn’t really need to have Lendale White to pound the ball anymore. I like Lendale and his little endzone celebration, but c’mon now, if we can get Grade A talent for him, the it’s time to cut him loose.

    And Hightower was sort of a bust for Arizona last year. He didn’t really produce until they started rotating him with James.

    I don’t know, I’m crossing my fingers for the rumor turning into reality.

    yeah, me too. lendale lost 20 lbs. to make $20 mil and i hope we’re not the ones paying him. i do hope that he’s doing the truffle shuffle in the endzone just as much this season though.

    I have been reading all day about this trade and it sounds like it will be LW. Th is is his contract year anyway and I dont think it will hurt us losing him. I guess I have never been a big fan of him though. I think this could put us over the top. Just think what this would do for our running game instead of teams putting 8 or 9 in the box they can only put 7 wow I can see CJ now. Also VY will be coming into a great situation 2 years from now.

    The Titans won’t get Boldin, Titans are to cheap with there money which is sad to see… And there is no way the Titans would put up 10 million a year for him.

    so, if it does happen, it looks like it will indeed be one of the rb’s not named “twitch”. i’m totally cool with that. unfortunately, the ravens are our main competition, with them offering heap and a 2nd rounder. ugh. i’d be livid if the ravens swooped in and grabbed him. come on mike and fish, get this thing done.

    This would be the best trade we have ever pulled. I am very confident that twitch can handle most with a strong back behind. We could send Lendale, 2nd and be sitting pretty. It makes since that they need the run and can’t afford to have two of the top wr’s. Its actually pretty fair if you think, they will have a good draft pick and beef up the run again. We would have an amazing beast that can open up twitch for those huge runs we all know he can do! PLEASE!!! GET THIS DONE TITANS!
