To help fill the hole that the Chris Carr-to-the-Ravens departure created, the Tennessee Titans have come to an agreement with free agent Mark Jones. Jones spent last season with the Carolina Panthers as their main returner and a reserve wide receiver, after originally being drafted by Tampa Bay in the 7th round of the 2004 draft. He averaged 11.4 yards on punt returns, and 24 yards per kickoff return last season with the Panthers (which is on par with his career average). Jones is also a former University of Tennessee star which is something that seems to make a number of Titans fans giddy. Probably a lot of the same people that wear Peyton Manning jerseys to LP Field on Sundays.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed at the time of this post.
