As the temperature drops and the season winds down, the leagues’ top players have one thing on their mind: will they be on the field for the big game at the end of the year? That’s right: 2009 Pro Bowl! (Wait, did you think I was talking about something else?). The Titans will have at least six players on the roster:
RB Chris Johnson
LT Michael Roos
C Kevin Mawae
DT Albert Haynesworth
CB Cortland Finnegan
SS Chris Hope
Congratulations guys! This will be the first trip (hopefully of many) for Finnegan, Hope, Roos, and Johnson. Be sure to represent the organization with class and dignity. Alternates who could go as injury replacements: FB Ahmard Hall, OLB Keith Bulluck, QB Kerry Collins, FS Michael Griffin and K Rob Bironas.
- It’s now official: because of his Pro Bowl selection, Albert Haynesworth can now become a free agent at the end of the season, as explained by the Tennessean.
- Some Titans fans may feel Keith Bulluck was “snubbed” by not being named as a starter. While that may have been true in past years, that’s not the case this year. No interceptions, half a sack, I don’t care about what system he plays in, you can’t say he deserves to be selected over Joey Porter, Terrell Suggs, or James Harrison. He’s a solid, even great, linebacker and team leader, but not a pro bowler though.
- Back to being an underdog: Pittsburgh are a 1.5 point favorite on Sunday, and Steelers fans are already talkin’ jive… call me crazy, but I kinda like being in this spot…
- Still waiting for my invitation to LenDale White’s birthday party
