- We didn’t look good early on, giving up 14 points and 172 yards in the first half, but we sure know how to close games! Shutting out the Jags in the second half and scoring 21 unanswered points: mark up another impressive win for Tennessee. The Titans have now outscored their opponents 130-54 in the second half this season.
“You all alone in these streets cousin…”
- The Titans whacked poor David Garrard all game, finishing with 4 sacks, bringing their season total against the Jags to 11. Two silly penalties on Tony Brown directly preceded both Jacksonville touchdowns, but otherwise our defensive line had an outstanding game, particularly in the second half.
- How about Chris Carr! The man certainly earned his paycheck this week: returning kicks, punts, and playing cornerback. They picked on him but he stepped up: 4 total tackles, 3 passes defended, and a sweet interception. Most likely we’ll need his coverage skills next week too, when gun-slinger Brett Favre comes to Nashville.
- Its so good to see the Titans connect on the deep ball. Kerry Collins threw an early interception (continuing a trend- all his interceptions this year have come in the first 8 plays), but settled down and played great, finishing with 3 touchdowns and a 112 passer rating. Even when his throws are off-target he stays composed in the pocket. His leadership permeates through the whole offense; we’re a steady, patient team, that also has a home-run threat.

I noticed that you didn't capitalize "auburn" or "tigers" is that do to there 5-6 record, but I do digress. I think Fisher and Saban have more in common than just an undefeated record. Check out the article about Saban on Rivals.com and I think you will see what I mean. Both men are perfectionist driven to be the best. And oh by the way, the Giants (aka Florida) may bethe amore' of the media, but remember one thing, both the Giants and Florida have one loss. Alabama and the Titans do not. Oh Nicky what a match made in heaven.
