News & Notes

Rapper Lil’ Wayne has a blog on espn.com. In his NFL section he shares some personal stories about his friends in the league, including a great little piece on Vince Young. The local media (esp. radio) are so down on him, its nice to read something positive about (IMHO) a great dude. Here’s the link…

I’m a bit of a pessimist when it comes to my favorite sports teams- I saw that Vandy loss coming- so I’m a little worried my Titans aren’t taking the Kanas City Chiefs seriously. From Yahoo:

One reporter remarked that the Titans practice this week resembled Club Med. A number of veteran players are being rested and doing rehab work this week in an effort to return against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Its disconcerting  to hear tackle football and Club Med mentioned in the same story. I also read a quote (sorry can’t find the link) from Lendale White saying his goal for the bye week was, “To stay out of trouble.” But its hard for me to stay mad at that man. Anyway, this would be a bad time for a letdown game.

And either the Titans really wore the Ravens out last week, or its time to be worried about the Colts again. The MNF game was gonna be huge anyway, but if it can take us to 7-0 it’ll be straight bananas . (Link contains some bad language).

Anybody know what “Code Blue” is about? Is it just a blue-out for the Colts game, or is something else going on?

Yeah, I was just waiting for the Colts to start getting healthy and putting everything together. For anyone who though Manning and Dungy were going to just roll over and die because of a rocky start to the season, think again. I think that Texans game last week saved their season–rejuvenated them.

I hadn’t checked the site in a few days so I went back and looked at some of the clips, liked the Crank dat Lion King but I about died at the George Brett clip. That’s one of the funniest things ever; I could see Will Ferrell doing a clip like that on SNL back in the good old days. I was crying I was laughing so hard. Keep up the good work.
